Spectators
When the Gastein Valley is in the grip of adidas TERREX INFINITE TRAILS fever on September 6th, 2025, not only will trail runners and their companions gather in SalzburgerLand, but Gastein also has a lot to offer for visitors who don’t want to miss out on this sporting event highlight.
At the alpine huts located along the route (Gamskarkogelhütte, Poserhöhe, Graukogelalm, Graukogelhütte, mountain restaurant Kleine Scharte, or the summit restaurant Stubner), you can enjoy the mountain scenery, sample local delicacies, and cheer on the runners passing by that day.
Check out our Program page for estimated arrival times (ETAs). With our interactive Google Race Map you can easily navigate to any point on the race course.
FREE TRAVEL THANKS TO NO GAS DAY
September 6th is “No Gas Day” (Benzinfrei-Tag) in SalzburgerLand. This means that on race day, spectators can use all public transport (including the ÖBB) for free to travel to and from Gastein. Additionally, within the valley, you can travel from place to place for free using the Post buses. We also offer an aIT Shuttle Bus for our athletes, which their companions can use as well and free of charge. You can find more information in this matter on our FAQ page.
FROM MOUNTAIN TO MOUNTAIN WITH THE WANDERSCHAUKEL TICKET
For all those who feel less confident tackling elevation gains like the trail runners do, there is the option to purchase a hiking circuit ticket from the Gasteiner Bergbahnen (mountain railways) on race day, allowing you to comfortably move along the various race routes. With just one ticket, you can use the Schlossalm lift, Kasereben lift, Sender lift, Stubnerkogel lift, and Graukogel lifts. They will be open continuously from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on that Saturday.
From the Schlossalmbahn mountain station past the Speichersee (Aid Station 30K), a footpath takes about 30 minutes to the Kaserebenbahn. From there, take the Kaserebenbahn to Angertal (Aid Station 30K/45K/Loop L/60K), and then the Senderbahn up to Stubnerkogel (Aid Station 45K/Loop L/60K). Alternatively, jump on a bus to Bad Gastein (Aid Station 45K/Loop L/60K at Merangarten) and take the chairlift to Graukogel Mountain Station (Aid Station 60K).
For INFINITE TRAILS friends & family, the ticket is available at a discounted price of 29.50 euros. However, it must be purchased online by September 6 through this LINK. (Choose 6 September under “valid” to activate the offer).
