RACE DIRECTOR INFO: RACE BRIEFINGS
Race briefings are a vital part of a trail run and attendance is required for all competitors of the adidas INFINITE TRAILS World Championships and the Vertical Open.
They are a short 30 minutes but packed with information about the trail conditions, route markings, location of aid stations and on Saturday, the starting time for each team. We can not stress enough how important it is to be at the briefings and as it is mandatory, (which will be checked) anyone who is not in attendance will unfortunately not be able to start.
The race briefing for the Vertical Open will be on Friday at 4:00 pm at the Alpen Arena in Bad Hofgastein and will be followed by the race at 5:00 pm. As will be the case on Saturday, the race director will inform the runners on what equipment is necessary depending on the conditions at the time.
The race briefing for the World Championships will be held from 2:00 until 2:30 pm in German. and from 3:00 until 3:30 pm in English at the KURSAAL in Bad Hofgastein. Bib numbers for the wch will be decided by the Prologue on Friday and will be handed out after the briefing between 3:00 and 5:30 pm.
Shortly after the briefing will also be a good time to get in any last minute questions or concerns you might have about the event. We are always happy to help and will do our best to have everyone as prepared as possible for both the Vertical Open and the adidas INFINITE TRAILS World Championships.
We can’t wait to see you there!
