For some of the athletes it's been a long day on the trails. Berni HAINHUBER (AUT) was our last finisher clocking a time of 13:49:29 on the 65K loop. We waited for him before uploading the evening edition of the finish line gallery.

One summit has been missing in our gallery and finally we can announce the Gamskarkogel gallery is online.

The photos just keep pouring in. Next up are pictures from Tischkogel & Stubnerkogel. Two summits passed by the 65K, 45K and Loop L runners with another iconic run along the ridge.

With a substantial amount of athletes still on their loops, they'll be relieved to see that the bad weather that crossed the valley in the afternoon has passed and the sun is peaking through the clouds again.

The remote Graukogel summit is one of the signature features of adidas infinite TRAILS. We have just received the first shots from the 2495m high mountain. Go check them out.

We've just upload an online gallery featuring photos from 15K and Loop M. As mentioned earlier, all athletes will get their personal shots shortly after the event via Sportograph.

The adidas TERREX athlete crosses the line with four minutes to spare after 8:09:30 infront of Mathias DEUTSCHBAUER (AUT). We're still waiting for Alexander HIRSBRUNNER (SUI) to follow as 3rd, but if nothing out of the ordinary happens he should have a comfortable run in.

We have just uploaded the first gallery capturing the emotions of crossing the finish line at adidas infinite TRAILS. This is just a selection! Every athlete will be able to find their personal shots - not only of the finish - via the Sportograph service shortly after the event!

Positions have been reversed at the lead of the 65K run! Mathias DEUTSCHBAUER drops back to 2nd.

It's not to be expected that a 65K race can keep you absolutely on toes with over 6h 30min into the race but Mathias DEUTSCHBAUER (AUT) and Aleksei TOLSTENKO (adidas TERREX) are almost clawing to each other. It's hard to tell who's in the better position right now. The guess is Aleksei probably has better control over the race situation, but who can be sure that Mathias is running at full pace?

Victory in the female category of the 45K race goes to Ronja DERR (GER)! With an impressive 5:50:44 she places well ahead, while we are waiting for Hanna HAMPEL (GER) and Tanja LEHMANN (GER) to reach the finish line.

The top 3 Loop L runners have crossed the line to complete the adidas infinite TRAILS 2022 Team Race. In the male category the cummulative effort of WORST PACE SCENARIO (USA, SUI) placed them well ahead of PINZGAU & PONGAU (AUT) who were only 28 seconds faster that HANNES HAWAII TOURS (GER) after nearly 11 hours of running! The first prize for the fastest mixed team unsurprisingly ends up with SCHIAN, ABER ZACH who were up there in every loop. It'll still be some time before we know the outcome of the female race. Currently DAVxDynafitxLaufbarxAR Munich seem to have edged ahead of ADIDAS CHILE and ADIDAS RUNNERS WARSAW GIRLS.

Here are Natasha NÖVER (GER) and Enrico TIMMERMANN (GER, ADIDAS RUNNERS HAMBURG) about 5 hours 30 minutes into the race enjoying a well deserved top-up at Graukogel Mittelstation still with some way to cross the half way line of the ultra distance. Keep up the good spirit!

From the first to the last every athlete get's a cheer finishing any of the distances at adidas infinite TRAILS 2022. Here are Christina JOHANSSON and Carina ANDERSSON (both SWE) celebrating their special moment at this year's event.

The top three Loop M runners have crossed the finish line Michael ZWEIGART (GER) from team HANNES HAWAII TOURS crosses the line with a comfortable 6:30 lead over Cordis HALL (USA, WORST PACE SCENARIO) and Sven KOCH (GER, THE TEAM I LIKE MOST) another three minutes behind.

It'll be interesting to see how the team ratings come together with PINZGAU & PONGAU currently 5th (male) and SCHIAN, ABER ZACH 4th (mixed) and ADIDAS RUNNERS WARSAW GIRLS (female) leading on Loop M.

Something must have gone wrong with Dmitry and we will keep you posted. Possibly he took a wrong turn. New leader in the 65K run is Mathias DEUTSCHBAUER (AUT) reaching Graukogel Mittelstation after 4:42:58 31.9 km into the race. He has a 7 minute lead over Aleksei TOLSTENKO (adidas TERREX) and additional three minutes to Swiss runner Alexander HIRSBRUNNER.

The 45K race was a close race at the beginning but currently Patrick Lemmerer (AUT) has revved up the afterburners and is charging downhill while Rowan AXE (GBR) and Thomas ZLOEBL (AUT, picture) have only just reached the Stubnerkogel summit.

Ekaterina MITYAEVA (adidas TERREX) is hitting the infinite trails hard leading by more than 2 km in front of the next female participant.

Christoph LAUTERBACH from team SCHIAN, ABER ZACH (GER, Mixed) was the fastest runner on Loop S and can now look forward to cheering on the team mates. In the male team category Sepp JETZBACHER (AUT, Male) has positioned his team PINZGAU & PONGAU into the temporary hot seat.

The women's team race on Loop S is far from decided with the top three women all within a minute of each other. We will keep you posted and don't forget to follow the live Leaderboard!

Stephan KERSCH (USA) take the first title at the adidas infinite TRAILS 2022! Congratulations!
In the end he managed to inch back ahead of the two German's Friedrich MOCH and Janosch Brugger.

Not far back Yngvild KASPERSEN (NOR) was the frist woman to return to Bad Hofgastein with a one minute lead over Dioni GORLA (GER) and Jasmin NUNIGE (SUI)

Former multiple olympic and world biathlon champion Laura DAHLMEIER (GER) is still giving it everything. On the 15K loop she's currently in fourth place with three adidas TERREX athletes in front of her: 1. Yngvild KASPERSEN (NOR) 2. Dione GORLA (GER) 3. Jasmin Nunige (SUI)

With a commanding 4 minute lead Ronja DERR (GER) reaches Graukogel Mittelstation and looks somewhat overwhelmed by the big selection of food on offer at the aid station. Don't tamper for too long, Ronja! Hanna HAMPEL (GER) and Tanja LÖWENHAGEN (AUT) are eager to catch up with you!

After being separated by several minutes early into the race, the top three are now moving back together.

From the beginning this has been a close race for the lead with Rowan building a small lead, while Thomas drops back a few paces.

After leading early on, Stephan has dropped back but might just be presevering some energy for a speedy descent.

Team Race
The cummulative effort is key for victory. Currently the following teams seem to be in good shape:

adidas TERREX athlete Stephan KERSH takes the early lead on the 15 K run, but as the participants pass checkpoint 2 'Vogellehrpfad' 3.7 km into the loop he drops back to third with the German cross country athletes Janosch BRUGGER and Friedrich MOCH up in front.

Dmitry MITYAEV reaches Gamskarkogelhütte first with an impressive four minute lead 10.8 km into the race.

Aid stations throughout the Gastein valley are ready to support close to 1000 runners at this year's adidas infinite TRAILS event and are surely just as relieved to see the sun as the athletes.

In the 45K race the three leaders have pulled together and are currently just a few paces apart. Rowan AXE (GBR) past the timing in Planitzengut (4.5km into the race) first, but this race is taking a very different development compared to the 65K. Expecting a lot of action here in the early stages.

Team racing is the soul of adidas infinite TRAILS. Following a joined start the teams quickly split up on their respective loops and rejoin later to celebrate the sport in Bad Hofgastein.

Follow adidas TERREX athlete Dmitry MITIYEV's ascent to the next official timing checkpoint 'Frauenkogel' as he builds an impressive 1min+ lead on the rest of field. aIT22 being his first international race after a longer period of time, we have our fingers crossed that he is following his race plan!

Welsh running enthusiast Rowan AXE (GBR) leads Bad Hofgastein locals Patrick LEMMERER (AUT) by eight seconds with THOMAS ZLOEBL (AUT) only four secs behind at the first checkpoint 2.3km into the race.

With the 45K athletes safely on their way we're happy to announce that the morning weather is presenting itself a lot friendlier than anticipated.

With the 45K athletes getting ready to start their race, adidas athlete Dmitry MITYAEV takes the lead on the 65K at the first split at the Annencafé Brunnen after 2.3km. Alex HIRSBRUNNER (SUI) and Oliver HELMBOLDT (GER) only a few seconds behind.
