Treat yourself with the athlete services
We are only a few days away from the adidas INFINITE TRAILS World Championships 2019 in Gastein/SalzburgerLand and we want to be sure that the 627 registered competitors from 45 different countries – take full advantage of the Athlete Services.
Before reading the rest of this blog, check your emails because participants should have already received their eventbaxx – the sustainable, electronic adidas INFINITE TRAILS starter bag! You can access by phone, all vouchers and discounts you receive during your stay as well as all information concerning the race, side events and athlete services.
One such service offered to the athletes is yoga. It’s a great way to mentally and physically relax while preparing for a race and also works well as a cool down after the big, strenuous event. There are fortunately multiple opportunities to get stretched over the weekend in Gastein/SalzburgerLand:
Friday, June 29th, 2019 – 9am to 10:15am – start your day off right and join us for a mindful yoga session right next to the waterfall in Bad Gastein. Take a deep breath, inhale the crystal-clear mountain air and listen to the sounds of nature.
Friday, June 29th, 2019 – 5pm to 6:15pm – center yourself after the race briefing to fully focus your mind on the next day’s race. Enjoy a chilled yoga session at the Kurpark in the middle of town in Bad Hofgastein.
Sunday, June 30th, 2019 – 11:45am to 1pm – wind down the adidas INFINITE TRAILS weekend with a yoga session up on the top of Stubnerkogel and with our adidas Yogi Waltraud of Soultracks – Yoga Life and Mind Style.
Perhaps the most delicious thing on the schedule will be the complementary athlete brunch from 11:00 am on Friday just before the first race briefing. You can feast on the specifically prepared variety of pre-race delicacies (recommended by adidas Runners nutrition expert Lottie Bildirici) while talking shop with your fellow athletes.
On race-day you have the chance to treat yourself after all the exercise with a trip to the Alpentherme spa. The Alpentherme Gastein is a source of energy in the mountains. As well as great health expertise, it offers the treasure of authentic thermal water from the depths of the Hohe Tauern mountains, which is used not only in the thermal baths but also in the facilities offered by the connected spa and rehabilitation center. At the adidas Reload Center inside the Alpentherme all adidas INFINITE TRAILS athletes can enjoy complimentary massages and physiotherapy on RACE DAY including a free ticket (3 hours) for the Alpentherme and a free pasta buffet to properly recharge after the race! You also receive an entry voucher for any other day of the adidas INFINITE TRAILS 2019 for yourself and 50% for anyone accompanying you to the Alpentherme.
The Alpentherme isn’t the only way you can treat yourself over the weekend as your aching feet can also get some attention that they will undoubtedly need. Isabell’s Beauty Palace – located conveniently next to the adidas INFINITE TRAILS Arena at Bad Hofgastein – is available for last-minute medical pedicures or a relaxing foot massage before or after the race and is offering amazing discounts to all athletes. Before bidding farewell to the mountainscape of Gastein, the adidas Runners Community invites you to enjoy one last moment together and discuss your experiences with your fellow adidas INFINITE TRAILS 2019 competitors. Join us for Kaiserschmarrn (an Austrian specialty) at the after-race brunch at Weitmoser Schlossalm, on Sunday 10-12am. If you are interested, you can also join the Mountain Rescue Training. This activation program is limited to 2 groups of 150 people (first come, first served basis).
You can register for the after-race brunch via your eventbaxx and also receive your voucher for your free lift ticket up on Schlossalm via the app.
